Has anyone done blue screen using super 8? How successful? Thanks.

i tried it and it sort of works. you might think that the grain would be a problem, but it wasn't really. however, the registration issue has been discussed here quite a lot lately, and this is one area where it's really obvious. the plates simply will not line up as well as you'd like them too. somebody posted the idea of using motion tracking markings on the screen and stabilize to them. seems like it might work, but i haven't tried it...

I did at a guided tour at Granada Studios in Manchester. It was a fun thing only but how did you really think how to do it with he S8?
Basically you will need a double exposure to make it with the S8 othervise the blue screen turns out just blue on S8. If you use double exposure you do not need the BS.
For true BS you will to do it electronically and transfer it to S8 some way or another.
I filmed the BS + the finished product off a monitor.
